More BIGASS Plan maps

What does it mean? When applying for a grant one must throw spaghetti against the wall. Here we have everything included but the kitchen sink… wait. I think the kitchen sink might be in one of these maps that was shown to the Pasadena City Council on October 17, 2011.

Look how nicely camouflaged the SOCCER FIELD is amongst all of the good sounding wonders of watershed restoration blather. What is the difference between Multi-Benefit or is it Multi-Use? Which map is in the Frankensteined grant proposal submitted in January 2011? Both maps are a bilious mix of plastic sports field polluting disrespect of water and  water resource conservation/restoration language, as the BIG $elling point. Blegth!

How?

Did everyone that needs clean water to drink miss this? I have the dumb. The dumb has taken over Pasadena!

Here is a digitally enhanced yet funky audio clip of the last meeting of the Hahamongna Watershed Advisory Committee on November 29, 2011:

  2. It’s all so baffling and infuriating. Do we have any recourse? What can we do? What about that IRWMP or whatever it is that is funding this project? One woman who spoke said they didn’t want to complain to IRWMP(?) because they didn’t want to lose the funding for the good part of the project. Do we need to expose this folly to them? Would they care?

Bleh. I’m too exhausted to write or think and now I’m agitated. Let’s do something, something other than going to those useless meetings.

Woof woof
